Under the amended Value-Added Tax Act (\u00a7 15-2 K\u00e4ibemaksuseadus), <\/span>Estonia\u2019s standard VAT rate will increase from 22% to 24% starting J<\/b>uly 1, 2025. This affects all goods and services taxed at the standard rate \u2014 in short, almost everything will get 2% more expensive overnight.<\/span><\/p>

\ud83d\udccc <\/span>Key Detail:<\/b> The higher rate will remain in effect until December 31, 2028. From January 1, 2029, the rate is set to return to 22%.<\/span><\/p>

\ud83d\udd0d <\/span>Example:<\/span><\/i>
<\/span><\/i> If you sell a product for \u20ac100 (excluding VAT), then from July 1, 2025, the VAT on your invoice will be \u20ac24 instead of \u20ac22. The total invoice amount will rise to \u20ac124.<\/span><\/p>

    Back in December 2024, Estonia passed the so-called \u201cSecurity Tax\u201d (Law 512 SE), which included a planned <\/span>2% corporate tax on net profit starting in 2026 \u2014 essentially a loca<\/b>l version of a corporate income tax.<\/span><\/p>

    However, in April 2025, the newly formed coalition government (Reformierakond and Eesti 200) decided <\/span>to scrap this part of<\/b> the law. The official repeal is expected to be passed by parliament by the end of 2025<\/span><\/p>

    \ud83d\udccc <\/span>Bottom Line:<\/b> There will be <\/span>no additional corporate tax in 2026<\/span><\/i> \u2014 and no increase in personal income tax, either.<\/span><\/p>
