Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 18, 2025

1. Who we are

This Policy explains how the Accres.eu website (“we”, “our site”) uses cookies and similar tracking technologies. We use them only to the extent necessary for site operation, analytics, and—where you give consent—marketing.

2. What are cookies

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They may be set by us (first-party) or by our partners (third-party). Similar technologies include pixels, local storage (localStorage), and the like.

3. Categories of cookies and purposes

On your first visit, no optional cookies are set without your consent. You can accept all cookies, reject optional ones, or customize your choices by category.

  • Essential (Required) — technical operation and security of the site, load balancing, and remembering your choices (including cookie settings). These cookies are always on and do not require consent, as the site may not function properly without them.
Example: a cookie that remembers your choice in the consent banner: consent_prefs_v2 (typically retained for up to 180 days).

  • Analytics (by consent) — aggregate statistics on how the site is used (which pages are visited, how long visitors stay, etc.) to improve content and interfaces.
Tool: Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC). Example cookies: _ga, ga* (typically up to 2 years). Data is used in anonymized/aggregated form.

  • Advertising/Measurement (by consent) — measuring the effectiveness of ad campaigns and enabling remarketing (e.g., attributing a visit to an ad and showing relevant ads across platforms).
Tools: Google Ads / Google Tag Manager (Google LLC) — e.g., _gcl_au (typically ~90 days); Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.) — e.g., _fbp (typically ~90 days).

  • Personalization (by consent) — remembering your preferences and showing more relevant on-site content (if enabled). This may activate additional cookies from our site or from third-party modules.

4. Third-party recipients and links to their policies

When you allow optional categories, certain data (browser/device identifiers, interaction events, referrer URLs or click-through information) may be made available to our partners:

These providers may process data outside the EEA (e.g., in the United States). Such transfers are made with appropriate safeguards compliant with the GDPR (including Standard Contractual Clauses — SCCs). See each provider’s policy for details.

5. Legal bases for processing

  • For essential cookies, our legal basis is legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to ensure the website’s functionality, security, and availability.

  • For analytics/advertising/personalization, the legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can consent to all categories, only some of them, or decline.

6. Consent Mode (Google) and prior blocking

We use Google Consent Mode: until you give consent, analytics and advertising storage are set to denied, and optional cookies and the corresponding tags are not activated. After you make your choice, we send the updated consent signal and apply it to the tags.

7. How to change or withdraw your consent

You can change your choices or withdraw consent at any time—just as easily as you gave it.

Cookie settings

You can also clear cookies in your browser; on your next visit, the banner will appear again. Turning off optional categories may affect personalization and analytics, but it won’t stop the site from working.

8. Retention periods

  • The consent-preference cookie is typically retained for up to 6 months (after which we’ll ask you to choose again).

  • Google Analytics 4 — up to 2 years (depending on Google’s current settings).

  • Advertising/pixel cookies (e.g., _gcl_au, _fbp) are typically retained for about 90 days.
We periodically review the list and retention periods and may update this Policy.

9. Your GDPR rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as to object to certain types of processing and to withdraw consent (this does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to withdrawal). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

10. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, and the tools we use. The “Last updated” date above indicates when changes were most recently made. If the changes are significant, we may provide a notice on the site or via the cookie banner.
